Review: Ice Edge Cafe

Ice Edge Cafe is definitely no stranger to people living around the North-east line.

Strategically located within walking distant from Kovan MRT station, Ice Edge Cafe offers an extensive menu that includes a 1-for-1 weekday lunch offer.

It has also expanded just last year to accommodate to more diners. I really love how spacious the place is, as it spells more privacy too! :)

We had the dinner menu each to complete our night, which includes a soup of the day, main and a glass of ice lemon tea. Oh we felt greedy that night, so we got potato wedges to share too. :D

Soup of the day: French onion soup, top up additional $3.50 from your main course to enjoy.

Eh, seriously no where near the authentic French onion soup, the photo speaks for itself anyway. Not worth the $3.50 for sure, but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt that we were just unlucky with the soup that night. Wells.:/

Potato wedges, $6.80.

I mean how wrong can fried food be or how extraordinary can it get? But these potato wedges were seriously, AMAZING~  They were fried to perfection and served piping hot right from the kitchen! Yes, we couldn't stop munching on them. Oh, the portion was really generous for two too!

Seafood Aglio Olio, $16.80

A dish like Aglio Olio may look simple but it's actually really difficult to cook to perfection. I got to say Ice Edge has done fairly well. I love the good flavours of it! In fact every mouth was an enjoyable one.

Prawn Pesto Cream Linguine, $17.80.

One thing I don't like about cream pasta is that it tends to gelat (over-powering) after sometime. Thus, I'm a tomato-based pasta lover. :D However, this cream linguine that the boy had wasn't over powering at all.

Because people who loves to eat are the best type of people. :D

Oh yes, judging from the background, this was eaten during last year's Christmas. LOL.

After our sumptuous dinner, we decided to have some desserts too. Just because no one leaves Ice Edge Cafe without trying their famous waffles and ice cream.

Waffles with 3 scoops ice cream, $19.00.

Can't exactly remember what flavours we had for the three, but one of them is definitely Mao Shan Wang (durian). Yes, I'm in love. Not just the presentation was lovely, the waffles and ice cream were awe!

We will be sure to come back for more pasta and desserts since it's so near our hood! :D
